[StephenKnappNewsList] New Videos from Stephen Knapp on holy places of India
What happens most of the time when I go to India is that I bring back enough photos to present a slide show of where I have been for a Sunday class at the temple. However, in this day and age, I can put together a video that everyone can see at their leisure on their own computer, which is often much clearer. And this time, after returning from another trip to India, is no exception. Here are some videos that I have recently finished for the viewing pleasure of all who may be interested.
First is a video of Kurukshetra, the Land of the Bhagavad-gita. Kurukshetra is a most important place that any historian or Krishna bhakta should see. And now you can get a short review of the more important places to see in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbHTGc6PM3w&t=25s
Another place I visited was Deva Prayag, which is the sangam or confluence place of the Alakananda and Bhagirathi rivers, which is where they become the Ganges, or Mother Ganga. Before going up into the Himalayas to see the Char Dhama area, or places like Badrinatha, Kedarnatha, Gangotri or Yamunotri, you are supposed to stop here and open your heart to the many great sages who have stopped here over the years and take your first holy bath before you go any farther. So here is a short video of what it is like to stop here and visit the sangam at Deva Prayag:
One last short video was also taken at Kurukshetra, which is an interview with me as I answer a few questions about how I got interested in Vedic culture, and the power of the Bhagavad-gita and Sanskrit. This also has Sanskrit captions for all lovers of Sanskrit. You can see this at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEUgHaM9edM&t=6s
I hope you will find these interesting.
